A most gratifying read πŸ˜‚ I would add: curiosity and active listening. Rather than dismiss ideas that don’t fit with our belief that we are right, practicing curiosity about why people hold different beliefs, ideas or opinions to us is the quickest way to both connect with others and explore other perspectives. Something we all need to practice. But when I remember to lean into curiosity before judgement, and ask why a person thinks, feels or believes a certain thing before I judge or dismiss it, it always helps me not only get out of a set opinion I have, but also to connect better with that person, even if we ultimately come to different conclusions. Definitely not easy when it comes to strongly held beliefs though!

I fully agree! That's also what I meant with "Add nuance, understand that different perspectives are possible and important.". Seek to understand why others think differently.

PS. I totally expected you and Giulia would be very pleased with this article, especially the title πŸ˜‚

Belle riflessioni! Penso che l'ambiente che ti circonda e il tempo rallentato possano aiutare a fare la differenza πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ

So here’s my reply to your question: gyms. I used to be the most vitriolic anti-gym person ever. To me they were the ultimate example of how humanity has started evolving backwards, having made life so easy for ourselves we now need to pay to make harder. To be fair I still think this, but post-injury I have accepted that given that we no longer build our own houses and hike mountains on a daily basis, if I want to stay fit and get strong again… gyms are actually a game changer πŸ˜‚
